Greater Bergen Community Action is a 501(c) (3), not-for-profit Community Action Agency. Established in 1967, Greater Bergen is part of a nationwide network of poverty-fighting enterprises which were established as part of the nation’s effort to address the intractable and persistent problem of poverty in America.

PHASES (Program for Homeless or Runaway Adolescents Seeking an Environment of Stability) is a supportive transitional living program for youth ages 16 to 21, male and female.   

The ladder project is a NJ State Halfway house that provides intensive services for men who are recovering from chronic substance Abuse.

COMMUNITY HOUSING IN PARTNERSHIP (CHIP) provides affordable housing for low and moderate income persons and households by constructing and renovating residences for equitable rental tenancy.
