The Bergen County Board of Social Services (BCBSS), working within the guidelines of Federal & State statutes, helps individuals and families meet their basic needs so they can live in dignity and achieve their highest potential.

 MyNJHelps is a free and easy way for you to pre-screen for  programs that are available to help you and your family. MyNJHelps is private. MyNJHelps will tell you where to go for help and what to bring with you, after you have answered all the questions. To see if you may qualify click on MyNJHelps.GOV.

After completing the online application, and depending upon the program(s) you appear to be eligible to apply for, you may need to complete a phone or in person interview. The standard processing time for SNAP/TANF/GA applications is 30 days and Medicaid 45 days.
