The SSI Project (LSNJ)

The SSI Project at LSNJ helps welfare recipients apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI)  and Social
Security Disability Insurance  (SSDI)  benefits.  SSI and SSDI are federal benefits programs. If you are getting welfare and you and/or your child have a disability, we may be able to help you.

  • The SSI Project helps people get SSI and SSDI benefits.
  • SSI and SSDI provide cash benefits and Medicaid or Medicare.
  • We provide FREE legal representation

We have an experienced staff of attorneys, case coordinators, and social workers.

If you have already applied for SSI and are waiting for the decision or have been denied and want to appeal, the SSI Project may also provide assistance in determining what the next step in your application process should be. The SSI Project represents individuals with SSI and SSDI claims at all stages of the Social Security process including the hearing and Federal Court level.
