The purpose of the BCYSC is to promote public safety, accountability and rehabilitation through the planning, implementation and administration of a comprehensive program of sanctions and services for juveniles adjudicated or charged as delinquent and delinquency prevention programs.

Bergen County's Youth Services Commission is an organization composed of court personnel; service providers; educators; law enforcement; family support organization. Meets monthly, to identify the needs of juveniles at-risk or involved with the Juvenile Justice System. Develops county comprehensive youth services plans. Develops recommendations for the allocation of state funds for Juvenile Justice.
