The New Jersey Pickleball Association (NJPA) was formed in early Oct. 2015, to develop the sport of pickleball in Bergen County. At the time disparate groups were playing in multiple places without an organized platform that would foster the growth of the sport in Bergen County.  In 2023, the association transformed to the New Jersey Pickleball Academy or as we like to refer to it as NJPA 2.0.

Despite the many hurdles that confronted the growth of the sport we successfully established a Pickleball Club that is more than just finding a location to play. Our many programs have attracted over 400 members to play together, learn the finer points of the game, play as a recreational sport or competitively in multiple sites throughout the county.
