The Fair Lawn Public Library (also known as the Maurice M. Pine Public Library) has programs and activities for children, families and adults. Entertainment, education, and lifelong learning opportunities are available free of charge to everyone.

  • Citizenship classes -prepare for the citizenship interview
  • Basic English Conversation groups  - Improve English language skills with trained teachers in a social, comfortable setting
  • Fair Lawn Library Job Group (FLJG) - Help with interviews, resume preparation and job searching skills. Available to those who are unemployed or interested in changing occupations
  • Knitting group - Social opportunity for those wishing to learn knitting and crocheting
  • Meditation - learn and practice meditation with Sahaja Yoga and Meditation
  • Technology Help - bring your ipad, laptop, phone or learn on the library computers with tech-savvy teens
  • Writer's Circle - for aspiring and accomplished writers; an opportunity to read your work, get criticism from others
  • Open Studio - Come and practice or learn drawing skills, with a live model. Bring your own supplies (no paints, please)
  • AARP Tax Assistance - Free tax prep and filing for seniors and low income individuals
  • Fax machine (fee charged) - free internet access, scanning available
