The JFCIU provides 24/7 telephonic intervention as well face-to-face services at the police station (after hours) & at the JFCIU office (daytime hours), to assist in managing conflicts between adolescents and parents, as well as situations involving endangered juveniles, runways, or truancy, school avoidance/phobia. If necessary, the JFCIU can facilitate emergency shelter placement and/or authorization for transport to the hospital for mental health assessment when the parent/guardian cannot consent.
