In addition to providing one-on-one treatment, The Gregory P. Shadek Behavioral Care Center invests in their community offering various education and awareness-raising programs in addition to prevention and outreach. These programs include:
- addressing the opioid epidemic in our community through addiction training and free NARCAN® (naloxone) kits
- training in Mental Health First Aid
- promoting our stigma-free designation and training on how to adopt a destigmatizing philosophy to care
- hosting and coordinating educational events for the community around important issues such as addiction and youth anxiety
