Connections (Division of Family Guidance)

Connections is an all day GED preparation program to increase participants' chances to succeed in life.

Overview:

  • Program for out of school youth located on the campus of Bergen Community College in Lyndhurst, NJ
  • Helps students obtain their high school equivalency diploma, secure admission to college or other training programs, and/or prepare for employment
  • Emphasizes basic skills, habits, and attitudes that are approrpiate for the world of work
  • Staff consists of an academic teacher, arts instructor, case manager, vocational counselor, and program administrator
  • Individual needs are addressed through a structured day program with individualized support and guidance

Eligibility Available to Bergen County residents ages 16-21 who are no longer enrolled in High School. However, students are encouraged to sign out of school only AFTER they have been accepted at Connections.
