Bergen County Council for Young Children (BCCYC)

Hi Everyone! My name is Maggy, I am the Project Coordinator Bergen County Council for Young Children (BCCYC) and families through CarePlus. Our Program goal is to be able to reach out to parents, caregivers, guardians and other community members to improve and strengthen our community. Our main goal is to help identify issues and concerns within the community in Bergen County that affect infants, young children & families (services for pregnancy, birth, early childhood, and school entry through age 8). Our goal is to ensure that state and local policies & practices recognize the strengths & meet the needs for our families. We are always looking for new members to join our community! For more information on our program you can reach out to me personally via phone or email at [email protected] or my phone at 201-364-9884.

BCCYC is an opportunity for families to come together to be active community partners. Parents will share and learn about health, education, and the well-being of their children as well as offer ideas, opinions and solutions to build stronger connections for children and families within the community.

Expecting parents and families with children up to the age of 8 years old are invited to engage in group discussion to:

  • Help community partners to identify issues and concerns that affect infants, young children and families.
  • Learn about and provide input in the development of community services for pregnancy, birth, early childhood, and school entry through age 8.
  • Ensure that state and local policies and practices recognize the strengths and meet the needs of families
  • Advocate for school readiness and preparedness.
