Attain and Gain Counseling

Attain and Gain is about finding unique, individualized, and effective strategies to live and prosper in the community.

Community-Based Services
Home and community-based services (HCBS) provide opportunities for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive services in their own home or community rather than institutions or other isolated settings. These programs serve a variety of targeted population groups, such as people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or mental illnesses.

Behavioral Supports
Individuals with both intellectual and psychiatric disabilities possess a higher risk for maladaptive behaviors. These individuals have a myriad of complicating factors that make it difficult for them to express their emotions at times. In order to meet the needs of these individuals, systematic behavioral management techniques can be implemented in their environment.

Supported Employment
Supported employment refers to service provisions wherein people with disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, mental health, and traumatic brain injury, among others, are assisted with obtaining and maintaining employment originally through the primary models of job crews, enclaves, or the often preferred job coach or person-centered approaches. Supported employment is considered to be one form of employment in which wages are expected, together with benefits from an employer in a competitive workplace, though some versions refer to disability agency paid employment.
