Calling All Emerging Leaders 24 and Younger!
Join Our Emerging Leaders Committee! Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) is accepting applications for our 2019 Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC).
What is the Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC)?
The ELC is a group of young people, ages 16 - 24, who are emerging leaders in the field of juvenile justice. The committee helps shape CJJ's work, while further developing the leadership, advocacy skills, and professional interests of the emerging leaders.
The ELC makes recommendations to the CJJ leadership and Executive Board, supports youth member recruitment, and promotes youth engagement across all organizational projects, programs and activities. Members play a key role in shaping and broadening the scope/scale of CJJ's youth partnership work.
ELC members participate in monthly 1-hour long conference calls and actively participate in ELC projects, including planning and executing CJJ's Annual Youth Summit.
Who can apply to the ELC?
Anyone who is serving on their State Advisory Group, who has previous or current juvenile justice involvement, and/or who is interested in juvenile justice reform is eligible to join the ELC. Applicants must be 24 years old or younger.
How to apply:
