Hispanic Institute for Research and Development of Bergen County, Inc.(Bergen Community College)

The Hispanic Institute for Research and Development of Bergen County, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1984. The Institute operates an extensive adult education program that offers Courses in English as a Second Language (ESL), basic business/office technology skills, HSE preparation, and several others. Each year, more than 2,000 persons register for the Institute’s Courses.

The mission of the Institute is to enhance the social, economic and educational status of the Hispanic community by empowering its members, through education and orientation, to seek and obtain better career opportunities.

Although its main focus is on the Hispanic community, the Institute makes its courses available to all individuals regardless of race, sex, religion, ethnicity, or national origin.
