STOP School Violence Program (Care Plus NJ)

Current evidence-based approaches to risk assessment within an integrated, multisystem team approach will be provided in this interactive presentation focused on creating or fortifying Assessment Care Teams within our schools.

In order to assist your school in providing a critical protective buffer to mitigate the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences - one of the three key goals of the NJ ACE's Statewide Action Plan - the presentation will review the New Jersey Statewide Law Enforcement Initiative "Handle with Care" and the role of the school personnel in effectively and meaningfully responding when notified by local law enforcement of a "Handle with Care" incident.

As a recipient of the Handling Our Students with Care Training your schools will receive 4 free follow-up sessions to provide consultation and technical support. These consultation sessions can be utilized to further discuss implementation or enhancement of your Assessment Care Team or the time can be used to bring in free trainings to your team, staff, and/or students.
