Bonnie Brae Spotlight Video (3:13)

Residential Treatment Center for adolescent boys. Providing a safe, supportive, educational, and therapeutic environment in residential life, clinical services, and educational systems. True to our mission, Bonnie Brae (which means 'pretty hill' in Scottish) is one of the nation's preeminent therapeutic learning environments for adolescent boys who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned.

Services include:

Residential Life
Residential Life is uniquely structured to organize time, promote cooperation, support rituals, and create comfort through predictability. Individualized treatment plans use Adventure Based Counseling, Structural Family Therapy, and Life Space Interviews.

Therapeutic recreation provides children with various forms of play, enabling them to expand leisure activity options, and appreciate the value of positive recreation interaction.

Clinical Services
Treatment is based on the bio-psychosocial model and is multidisciplinary, focusing on the strengths and competencies of the child and family. Individualized treatment plans address presenting problems from a development perspective.

A systematic approach includes family members and larger system representatives as part of the treatment team.

School Program
A strong academic program provides coursework in English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Parenting, Fine Arts, Computers, and Media Production. Individual remediation is offered whenever needed.

An active intramural and interscholastic sports program offers avenues of participation and achievement for all students as they learn the importance of teamwork and their ability to successfully challenge themselves in the physical and emotional world of competition.
