NJ Certified Animal Control Officer Course (Bergen Community College)

Do you love animals and seek an exciting career in the field of animal care? Are you a pet owner and want to take better care of your pet? Anyone interested in animal welfare personally or as a profession is welcome to our Animal Control Officer (ACO) program. This is your opportunity to begin a career as a municipal officer or a volunteer working with animals as a part of a rescue group, shelter, or other animal welfare organization. 

Some topics that will be covered in this course include: animal welfare and protection, disease recognition and treatment of both domestic and wildlife animals, the statues and laws pertaining to this field, and the responsibilities of ACOs.
