- 2:30 PM
In partnership with the National Association for Children of Addiction (NACoA), the JBS International OVC Training and Technical Assistance Team is pleased to host 5 live events beginning June 2nd featuring top experts in the field. NACoA is a national organization focused on children of parents struggling with alcohol or substance use to deliver an informational webinar series to OVC grantee key staff, partners and others invested in this service.
The webinar series will provide participants with an overview of the 40-year history of the movement to raise awareness about, and address the pain and confusion experienced by the 18.5 million children across the country struggling with parental addiction. For decades, these children have been silent, hidden, and suffering from adverse childhood experiences in plain sight. That’s 1 in 4 children in every classroom, every church pew, every football team, in every neighborhood and in the multiple OVC projects where great efforts are being made to better the lives and offer hope to countless young people.
The primary goal of these webinars is to provide grantees with the tools and knowledge needed to support children and families being hurt by addiction who sorely need intervention and recovery support.
