31st Annual Conference on Medical Care for People with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

This conference is for everyone who is concerned about providing quality health care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including: health and mental health professionals; administrative and direct care staff at agencies providing services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities; family members; social workers; HMO representatives; and employees of the New Jersey Department of Human Services and the Department of Health.
- To provide information on the psychosocial impact of the COVID pandemic and quarantine on individuals with I/DD.
- To explain an innovative approach to educating health care practitioners about caring for patients with I/DD.
- To provide information on Medicaid and Social Security issues at the federal level that will have an impact on individuals with I/DD.
- To provide information on providing quality healthcare to individuals with I/DD, either in the provider’s office or through telehealth.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year's conference will be virtual. Everyone who registers for this conference will receive an email a couple of days before the event with a link to view the entire conference.
During the conference, The Arc of New Jersey is hosting a virtual exhibit hall, where the attendees can communicate with exhibitors during breaks and at other times that the exhibitors' links are available. The links to the exhibitors' sites will be emailed with the conference links. Please note that each conference link will be specific to that registrant and cannot be forwarded or transferred.
The Arc of NJ has partnered with Rutgers UBHC to provide continuing education credits. Content has been submitted for review for the following professional disciplines: NJBSWE Social Work, ANCC Nursing, AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ CME for Physicians, APA Psychology, Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Counselors.
