CBH Care, a 501c3 private non-profit entity, was founded in 1969 by a small group of Bergen County residents in Lyndhurst [NJ]. The agency has expanded significantly throughout the years but has never wavered in its mission of enhancing the quality of life of individuals, regardless of age, who are affected by mental illness and mental health challenges.
CBH Care revolves around the belief that one person can make a difference in the life of another. Our staff embrace each day knowing that we can be the difference that changes life for someone.

Intensive Family Support Services (CBH Care)
Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) is a county-wide support program, administered by CBH Care, for families of relatives with mental illness.
New Directions - Checkers AfterSchool Program (CBH Care)
New Directions is a therapeutic after-school program for adolescents, ages 12 through 17, who are in need of intensive structured therapy to address serious emotional and behavioral issues. This program provides community-based therapeutic services that may eliminate the need for more restrictive out-of- home interventions and placements.
