Come learn from Dr. Debra Ruisard, LCADC, LCSW, DSW & Carolyn Flynn, LAC, DC, of the Center for Great Expectations. The seminar will provide continuing education by meeting the following objectives:
1. Understand the four styles of attachment and how each style influences an individual’s ability to form relationships from pregnancy through early childhood.
2. Develop an understanding of how the body’s alarm system informs our work with the parent-child dyad who experience the effects of attachment wounds, traumatic life experiences, and substance use.
3. Generate a list of evidence-based clinical interventions, emotional regulation and body-based interventions to use when working with pregnant and parenting women and their children.
