Unrealistic Expectations Obstacles to Connection, Trust, & Improving Relationships (TARA4BPD)

Are the expectations you had for your child unrealistic? When these expectations aren't met, you may feel disappointed, or hopeless. With the best of intentions, this can be an obstacles to helping your loved one. When your loved one doesn't meet family expectations, they feel like they have failed, sabotaging your relationship.

Family expectations can interfere with the ability to accept BPD, to see the person as someone in acute emotional pain, doing the best they can. We will discuss how accepting reality can bridge this gap, and help you to connect and improve communication.

The TARA Method is designed to assist families in understanding and managing the challenges that come with a loved one dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). It has been developed over 30 years and is rooted in both practical experience and scientific research. Instead of assigning blame, it focuses on repairing and strengthening family relationships.

The TARA Method provides families with accurate information and guidance to help families navigate BPD behaviors. It aims to reduce stigma, dispel misconceptions, facilitate healing, foster connection, repair relationships, and build trust. Through a biological-based approach, it helps you create a supportive and nurturing environment where your loved one can feel heard and understood .

By adopting the TARA Method, you will learn compassionate strategies to help build stronger relationships with your loved one, help them feel safe and understood while also promoting their well-being.

If you need more information or have any problem registering, please call 212-966-6514 or email [email protected]

The TARA Workshop Fee is not just a FEE! - it's a tax deductible contribution to TARA4BPD, a 501c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of those living with BPD.

Your contribution enables us to identify and promote new, effective treatments, disseminate the latest research findings, and empower families to become compassionate, therapeutic partners.
