Addressing School Avoidance through the use of Core Behavior Principles
Parents and families are faced with varying challenges in regards to fostering pro-social behavior in their child. Issues such as keeping their children motivated to meet expectations, increasing compliance with basic demands, are two general categories. A growing challenge for a number of families is ensuring that their child is up and out for school each day. Throughout the county, parents and schools are reporting an increase in incidences of School Avoidance.
Week 1: will focus on the implementation of core behavior principles and positive parenting techniques to change behavior.
Week 2: will focus specifically on interventions and strategies to address school avoidance in children and youth of all ages.
