Dozens of research studies show that engaging in regular mindfulness practice can reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and improve overall well-being. During this webinar, participants can expect to learn about the origins of mindfulness practice, hear about psychological research regarding its benefits.
Dr. Shcherbakov worked and trained in settings that included schools, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric units at a hospital. He completed his predoctoral internship at the New Jersey VA Health Care System and received extensive training in the evidence-based treatment of geriatric populations, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders. He helps to supervise the provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in homes and schools. Dr. Shcherbakov served as a research clinician on a randomized controlled trial investigating Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for preventing suicidal behavior in military veterans. He is a co-author on several publications resulting from this research.
