Addressing Functional Life Skills for Individuals with Autism and Other Developmental Disorders

November 13, 2018

12:00 – 1:00 PM

Functional Life Skills are the essential skills that are needed for everyday living, which include skills needed at home, school, and in the community. For teenagers and young adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or other Developmental Disabilities the learning process for these skills is often quite challenging as they prepare to transition to adulthood. Our goal is for these individuals to gain as much autonomy and independence as possible to become participating members of their communities. This webinar will discuss the importance of systematically identifying and addressing functional life skills, including specific strategies to use.

Webinars are geared towards self-advocates, caregivers, and professionals who care for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Please note, all sessions cap at 100 attendees for the live webinar, but registration is unlimited.

All those who can not access the live presentation will have access to a recorded version of the webinar
